Can I use a live chat to speak to someone immediately?

I always prefer to use a live chat if possible and I know other members of our team does too. I think that with a live chat you have a record of what’s transcribed – you don’t have that luxury with a phone call. Does 8×8 have a live chat? If so, how does it work and can you use it for any enquiries/problems or just for sales?

Yes they have a live chat! It is a little bit hidden on their website and it’s not actually called a live chat – look at the right part of the site. You will see a red button stating “contact sales” click on this and you can then open a live chat with one of their customer service reps.

The chat is open between Monday to Friday and it is open between the hours of 9:00am to 5:30pm. Its not open on weekends so don’t bother trying to use it on Saturday or Sunday.

Once you have clicked on the “chat now” button, a new window opens which is where you start the chat. You have to enter your name and then your company name too, you also have to click a tick box stating what your interest is – either business phone system or contact centre. Once you have done that you can start talking to someone.

I’ve always found the live chat feature to be really useful – the person I spoke to really knew what they were talking about. If you want to gain any help and advice about the 8×8 service then this is one of the best ways to do it.
