I know that with some VoIP cloud PBX systems you have to pay extra for some of the features such as conference calls and voicemail. The initial price may look attractive but when you add on all the extras it’s not so good after all! How does Ring Central tackle this? Is the monthly payment inclusive or are their additional extras?

This is where I think Ring Central really does pay off – there are no hidden extras or additional items except the local or international numbers. Everything else is included in the price – all the features like the voicemail, conference calling and call management features are included in the package so basically what you see is what you get.

There are no additional costs, but you do have to remember that you are paying per month per user. So the prices quoted on the website are per user. The only additional add-ons that you have to pay extra for are free-phone and non-geo numbers, local numbers, a dedicated contact centre, the global office suite, and cloud telepresence. The last three features you have to enquire about and I don’t think they publish prices on their website.

The price is all-inclusive pretty much per user – the features you mentioned – voicemail and conference calls are definitely included in the monthly user price. You are right to check as this is certainly not a standard practice for VoIP companies – as you rightly said, most companies charge extra for these features.

As far as I can see the monthly payment is indeed inclusive. The only thing to note is that some of the features are limited i.e. the video meeting function is limited to 4 on the standard package, whereas it bumps up to 100 on the ultimate package. If you look at the pricing page – you can see exactly what is included in each plan, and the list of add-ons that are available are right at the bottom. As pointed out, the only add-ons are local numbers and free-phone numbers. If the feature has a green dot next to it, then it is included in the per month price!
