We have a younger group of staff who are all highly competent with modern technology. To that end, we are mainly using the instant messaging service to communicate between each other and just using calls for external use and customers. The messaging system is spot on and really easy and fun to use. I think you can integrate it into your Google App or Gmail too which is a nice touch.

We like several of the 8x8 features – they are simple but more useful than you first realise. Firstly we love the voicemail features – we can playback voicemails on our desktop computers instead of having to go through an annoying phone system. Furthermore we can save the voicemail files to refer back to them or use them for business purposes. Secondly, we also like the extension system – we have assigned an extension number to each employee in our office and instead of dialling their phone number, we can simply dial their extension – makes transferring calls so much easier! Finally, the prices themselves are reasonable too and out monthly outlay is next to nothing.

8x8 is exactly what we needed from a VoIP provider. From day one we have had a brilliant service and only have positive feedback about this company. For us the phone system had to be the main factor – we could not see the point of switching to a VoIP system if the call quality was going to decline. We are happy to say that the 8x8 call quality is practically perfect – we haven’t noticed any difference from our old telephone system and in some cases the VoIP quality is actually better. The calls are clear and we can’t hear any distortion or background noise so we are over the moon really.

We chose 8x8 due to its range of features – the business features are extensive and we have made use of most of them on a daily basis. We like the unlimited calling feature, the caller ID blocking (we seem to get quite a few spam callers), conference calling, caller groups, call waiting features and call park feature. We feel that these features really help our productivity and 8x8 has undoubtedly streamlined our calling system. Our staff are spending less time messing around transferring calls and we think that our customers have also benefited from an improved experience.

We found that the integration 8x8 offers is actually a strongpoint – we noticed that this was something not every VoIP provider offered. It is possible to integrate 8x8 into Microsoft Outlook, Zendesk and ACT by Sage. We found this integration really useful and its helped our business improve its efficiency. The overall cost is undeniable cheaper than a traditional telephony system too – our VoIP costs are next to nothing in comparison and we don’t have to continually replace our traditional phones. The standard list of features is certainly up there with the other VoIP providers and we can’t understand why some other people have said their features are limited – we certainly haven’t this to be true.

The basic functionality of 8x8 cannot be denied. This VoIP provider offers a really good telephone system that is easy to use for small businesses. We have been using 8x8 for ages now and we have never experienced any issues. The phone line uptime is practically faultless and the quality of the actual calls is magnificent – the line is crystal clear and there is no lag or distortion. Our employees can easily handle calls, transfer to different extensions and numbers and even record calls if needed. We have everything we need from 8x8 and we would recommend this VoIP solution to any small business.

We also felt that 8x8 hasn’t got an amazing array of features compared to other VoIP providers, but the features it does have are essential and the basic service is spot on. The actual telephone system is superb and we can attest that the proclaimed uptime of 99.9984% is accurate! We can’t even remember the last time our phone system went down and we have an interruption in service – to use it feels like 100% uptime! The free international calling is definitely an added bonus – we don’t make many international calls but we do have to occasionally contact overseas suppliers to confirm deliveries so its nice to know that we aren’t paying through the roof for this privilege.

Before changing to a VoIP service we wanted to be sure that 8x8 could offer top range security. We didn’t want to take a chance and transfer to a system that could potentially be hacked. We know that no system is 100% safe and that hackers can find a way, but we felt that the security features provided by 8x8 were more than adequate. We are confident that our calls will remain private and that our cloud data is secure. The calls and data are encrypted so its virtually impossible for the information to be stolen and used in exploitative ways.

We've actually been using the 8x8 virtual contact centre and its really helped our business. The features available are extensive including multi-channel, web callback, co-browsing, proactive chat and skills-base routing. Our call centre agents can work quickly and effectively and can easily route our customers to the desired location. The myriad of reports and monitoring facilities are also highly useful for analysing our call centre activity and seeing where we could improve. The post call survey reports, historical reporting and real-time call monitoring are highly useful features that we would have never thought of. Basically, our call centre efficiency has improved immensely and we are really happy with the results 8x8 have provided!

Compared to some of the other VoIP providers on the market today, we felt that 8x8 was lacking in terms of features and functionality. We looked through their website and the virtual office package just didn’t seem to have a whole lot to offer. In comparison to Jive for example, the features appeared to be extremely limited – not for us!

Our business has a range of employees that use both desktop computers, laptops and their smartphones. 8x8 allows our different users to still connect to the same phone system and make use of the full call functionality etc. Desktop users can install the 8x8 program and smartphone users can download the 8x8 app. It’s greatly improved the communication between our external staff and its given use greater control over our employees and their workload.

We have been using 8x8 VoIP for some time now and we are pleased with our investment. We were initially dubious about transferring to a VoIP service as we have always used traditional telephone systems but we are glad we made the switch. We didn’t realise how much more features a VoIP service can provide your business with. The operator switchboard feature is really cool – it has allowed us to deal with an increased volume of calls and we can quickly and effectively transfer customers to the department they require in a matter of seconds. We have found that our phone system is now more efficient and that our customers are receiving a much more streamlined service.

We actually have several offices based in different parts of the country so using a service like 8x8 has opened us up to a whole new world of possibilities. We can now make use of the virtual office meetings and we can hold conference calls between our offices. This has really helped our productivity and our inter-office communication has improved drastically. Before we basically operated as separate entities but 8x8 has facilitated a greater level of communication and our offices can now work as one fluid unit which is just superb.

We’ve actually ended up making more use of the instant messaging service provided by 8x8. We didn’t think we would use this at all but it’s proved to be so handy. We have created several group chats for our different departments and they are used all the time – we thought people would just use them to mess around in and have a laugh but the chats are really productive and have opened up some useful discussions that have benefitted the whole company. The security of 8x8 is also reassuring and we know that our calls and messages are encrypted and our personal data is safe.

For us 8x8 is the perfect VoIP service – we love this platform and are so pleased we chose them. We found it difficult to make a choice due to the large number of companies offering a similar service but 8x8 stood out and we were impressed with its variety of features. The administration control panel is really easy to use and we can change our VoIP options in an instant – we don’t need advanced IT knowledge either so its great for novices. The actual clarity and quality of the phone calls is awesome too – really clear and crisp and there is no delay either which is fantastic for long distance calls.
